New Certification Program for Building Operators in Halifax

CIET offers a large variety of energy efficiency training programs, including the Building Operator Certification (BOC) program, targeted directly to building operators. This new program is offered in Ontario since March 2014, with over 100 building operators trained only in the past year.

 Tech Nova’s members will be happy to know that starting in the fall of 2015, CIET will be offering the BOC program in the Maritimes!

The BOC program, developed by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC), based in Seattle, WA, consists of eight modules delivered in a total of nine days of training. Each course consists of highly interactive and hands-on classroom training facilitated by very knowledgeable and experienced building professionals, project assignments to be completed at the participant’s facility, and an in-class exam administered at the end of each day of training. . It is a widely-recognized training program, with more than 14,000 certified professionals in North America.
